Tidbits: On October 6, 1968, Beauty World Ltd. became the new franchise holder of the Miss Philippines for Miss World and screened 37 candidates at The Plaza Hotel in Makati. Cecilia "Pinky" Amabuyok was chosen as Miss Philippines 1968 and was 4th runner-up in Miss World that year.
